Ken Dytor


Ken has a wide and varied career that embraces public private partnership in the economic, physical and social regeneration of our urban environment. He has worked in organisations from the Crown Estate and British Land to Nikko Principal Investments to his own regeneration company Urban Catalyst. He has held many non executive board and advisory positions with bodies such as English Heritage, London South Bank University, the Ministry of Defence and the Central London Partnership. He also chaired the Circle Initiative PPP which led to the creation of business improvement districts throughout England & Wales.

He has worked extensively in the Far East and in China in particular where he has forged significant Government, university and business links.

Ken believes passionately in the need to assist and enhance the diverse student environment at ISH and to actively promote the value of a strong international student base in London.

Graduate of London South Bank University and the London Business School, Ken’s career spans 30 years in real estate. As Executive Chairman of Urban Catalyst, he is leading the £1 billion regeneration of Purfleet in Essex, with plans for a major film and media complex and a circa 2,850 home new community with schools and transport links and potential mini University campus. Speaking of his appointment at ISH “we need to be helping maximise the diversity of London’ student population, and I look forward to assisting the charity to continue its great work.”
