A visit from our patron, The Princess Royal, is one of the key highlights of the events calendar at International Students House. While many of the usual activities have been suspended due to the pandemic, it was a great honor for the residents and alumni who were able to meet The Princess Royal during her tour of the House a few weeks ago. Starting from the Thirsty Scholar, she made her way through the building, chatting with the staff, students, and Govenors along the way. With renovations of the student rooms recently completed, The Princess Royal inspected two of the new rooms and took a special interest in storage and study space for the residents. She completed her visit by unveiling a plaque to rededicate the House and gave a short speech, encouraging and commending students and staff for their commitment to the vision of international friendship and understanding especially during the tough periods of the pandemic.
