John Kirkland has worked for over thirty years at the interface between higher education, research and international development, including senior roles at the Association of Commonwealth Universities, National Institute of Economic and Social Reserach and Brunel University. He has a doctorate from Brunel, is a qualified Company Secretary and was awarded an OBE for his contribution to higher education and scholarship in 2015. John joined the ISH Trustees in 2024.
