Our building is open 24/7 and there is always someone at the reception to welcome you. We have common rooms and shared kitchen facilities where you can socialise and interact with other residents and arrange social or study groups. If cooking every day is too much trouble, our on-site caterers offer a variety of meals at special prices. The Dean of Students and the Events team are on hand to support all aspects of student life from well-being to lively events. Some popular social events include culturally themed suppers, theatre outings, Zumba, and in-house activities initiated by residents. We also encourage creating friendships and memories through travel in the UK and beyond at discounted and student-friendly prices through the Travel Club. Our in-house bar, The Thirsty Scholar, is a popular hang-out spot for students looking for a break from the library and in the evenings it often turns into a lively bar with regular Karaoke and DJ nights. We also have a live music venue, 229, that promotes upcoming and established bands from the UK and beyond.

Flats at Blain House

Our furnished one and two-bedroom flats are designed for couples and families. All flats have a living room, dining, and bedroom furniture with the kitchens equipped with ovens, fridges, and cupboard units. The benefit of staying at Blain House is the large outdoor garden, which is safe and secure for children and adults to relax or play. A warden lives in the building and assists new residents with settling in settle in.
One-bedroom flats start at £1,425.00 excluding electricity and council tax
Two-bedroom flats start at £1,570.00 excluding electricity and council tax
We have availability from September 2024. Please note that flats have yearly contracts.
